Cultural Advice Committee
The Whadjuk Aboriginal Corporation is seeking nominations for two (2) men and two (2) women to join our Cultural Advice Committee (CAC) for a three (3) year term. In addition, the Corporation will also be seeking one (1) male candidate for a two (2) year term.
The Cultural Advice Committee (CAC) is a group of Elders and traditional knowledge-holders who consider matters relevant to culture, and make decisions to promote and protect our cultural interests.
Nominations will be assessed by the Board of Directors. If there are more eligible candidates than positions for each gender, an election will be held at the Annual General Meeting on Monday, 11 November 2024.
Applications must be received by 5pm on 3 September 2024.
Note: As per Election Manual, 37.1(c):
That no more than six (6) men or six (6) women can be represented on the committee and that at least three (3) men and three (3) women must be represented on the committee.
