Whadjuk Aboriginal Corporation is proud to introduce a new and revitalised team, bringing together a powerful blend of cultural knowledge, operational expertise, and deep commitment to our community.
The calibre of individuals joining our growing organisation reflects our strong vision for the future and our dedication to achieving outcomes that honour our people, our heritage, and our responsibilities.
Merindah Bairnsfather-Scott, a proud Noongar woman, is our new Lands Manager, leading all matters related to land and heritage. Merindah brings invaluable knowledge, experience, and cultural strength to this vital role, ensuring that the Corporation continues to protect and advocate for Country in a respectful and strategic way.
George Hayden, a respected Noongar man, takes on the role of Cultural Engagement Coordinator. George will lead our engagement with community, including the delivery of Noongar language programs. This role is key to ensuring that cultural integrity remains at the heart of everything we do.
Braydan Ifould, a Bardi man from the Kimberley region, steps into the position of Membership and Administration Officer. With a strong understanding of Aboriginal corporate structures and processes, Braydan brings significant experience, further strengthening our internal capabilities.
Deena Harto is our Operations Manager, bringing extensive operational and financial management experience. Deena’s background as a Financial Controller makes her well positioned to oversee the efficient and effective functioning of the Corporation’s operations.
Shannon Beech brings her exceptional high-level organisational and administrative expertise to Whadjuk Aboriginal Corporation as our new Executive Assistant.
Together, this talented and committed team brings a renewed energy and purpose to the Corporation. The office-based team is honoured to serve the Whadjuk community and is united in its mission to take Whadjuk Aboriginal Corporation to new heights.
This is a new chapter — one built on cultural strength, professionalism, and a shared commitment to advancing the aspirations of the Whadjuk people.
