Whadjuk Aboriginal Corporation is proud to welcome Gwynette Govardhan as our new Heritage Legal Consultant.
Gwynette is an experienced lawyer and consultant, specialising in corporate governance, native title, and Aboriginal cultural heritage. With a commercial law background and an extensive track record representing Traditional Owner groups across Western Australia.
Gwynette brings invaluable expertise in negotiating and implementing complex agreements within the mining and resources sector. Her work has included heritage protection, land access, mining agreements, negotiation protocols, and funding arrangements.
Gwyette’s skills extend to drafting executive and governance documents, including board briefs, constitutions, and corporate policies. In addition to her legal career, Gwynette has lectured on Aboriginal Cultural Heritage legislation at Curtin University and is also a professional Muay Thai athlete and published journalist, covering topics across law, politics, media, and culture.
Gwynette Gorvardhan said:
